Soft silicone gaskets- comfortable on your face
Easy to adjust goggle strap - provides perfect fit
Wide selection of lenses/ colours

After years of testing different open water goggles, I can confidently say the Zone 3 Venator-X are up there with the best open water goggles I’ve ever worn. They strike the perfect balance between comfort, functionality, and durability. Everything you want when you’re heading into the water for a long swim or race!

Comfort & Fit

These open water goggles are a dream for comfort. The soft silicone gaskets mold perfectly to your face, creating a secure seal without digging in or leaving red marks. Even after a 17-hour endurance swim (yes, really), I didn’t feel that dreaded eye-socket pressure or irritation that can ruin a long session.

The quick-release strap system makes adjustments simple, with no fiddly buckles or awkward pulling. Once you’ve got them set, they stay put, even when you’re diving in or dealing with choppy conditions. For me, that’s a major win.

Sizing

As someone with a smaller face, finding open water goggles that don’t leak or overwhelm my features has always been a challenge. These fit beautifully, snug, streamlined, and just the right size. The lens profile gives great coverage without feeling bulky, and while there’s no adjustable nose bridge, I’ve never found that to be a problem.

If you’ve ever had to opt for children’s goggles to get a proper fit, you’ll know how much of a relief it is to find an adult pair that finally works.

Functionality

Performance-wise, the Venator-X open water goggles deliver exactly what you need in open water: clear vision, no leaks, and minimal fogging. I’ve used them across different conditions, from murky lakes to bright coastal swims, and they’ve held up every time.

The panoramic lens design gives excellent peripheral vision, which really helps with sighting and staying on course. I especially love the range of lens options available: clear for low light, polarized for bright sunshine, and chromatic for changing conditions.

They only start fogging after around eight hours of use, which is impressive by any standard.

Value

The Venator-X sits in the mid-range price bracket, but the quality is top-notch. My first pair is now over four years old and still going strong; no cracked seals, no worn straps, no leaks. That kind of longevity makes them incredibly valuable for regular swimmers and triathletes alike.

Considering how well they perform and how comfortable they are, I’d say these open water goggles are worth every penny, especially if you’re clocking up serious open-water mileage.

Recommend

Absolutely. I love these goggles so much that I now own them in three different lens and colour combinations. Whether I’m training in early morning fog, swimming through bright sunlight, or heading out at dusk, there’s a Venator-X for every condition.

If you’re serious about comfort, clarity, and reliability, these deserve a permanent place in your swim bag.

All time Favourite Open Water Goggle! (Zone 3 Venator-X)

I’ve tried lots of goggles over the years and in open water I prefer a wide angled lens. These goggles are so good I have them in 3 different lens/ colour combinations. I have done many long swims (17h) and have not felt like my eyeballs are being pulled out their sockets with these!
